My role on Call of Duty: Ghosts was as an Environment Artist on 4 multiplayer maps.  The maps I worked on were Bayview, Collision, Containment, and I also helped out on Behemoth (initial level art).  My main work was world building, scene composition and set dressing, prop and structure creation (with bsp and patches), texture adjustments, some vista background work (outside of playspace the arena amphitheater and boardwalk), as well as polish work and bug fixing.  This was a collaborative effort with several other artists and team members sharing responsibilities on each map.  The production software I used were Activisions proprietary engine Radiant, Maya, and Photoshop.
