During my time at Vigil Games I was mainly working on an unreleased game, Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millennium Online, but I also had a great opportunity to help out a little on Darksiders Wrath of War.  My role was to create the gate level prop below as well as some general level cleanup on one of the levels and bug fixing.  The software used was 3DS Max and Photoshop as well as Vigils proprietary game engine.

Vigil Games

Vigil Games hired me on as a Sr. Environment Artist to mainly work on the MMO Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millennium Online.  It was a very talented bunch of people working there and Warhammer 40k was a dream project for me (I grew up playing the tabletop miniatures game).  My main responsibilites on the game were environment prop modeling, world building and texture creation (Vigil really emphasised a hand painted quality to the textures going for a strong sense of stylization).  I also led a team of 2 other artists on a section of an upcoming internal level demo for the game (a hallway slice of gameplay in a derelict spacehulk).  Production software mainly used were 3DS Max, Photoshop, and Vigil's proprietary game engine.

At Spacetime Studios I worked on an unreleased MMO title Blackstar.  As a 3rd person action MMO that revolved around space combat I spent most of my time modeling environment props, space stations, derelict ships, and various level objects.  The software I used was 3DS Max, Photoshop, ZBrush and their proprietary game engine.  This was a fun project with a stunning group of concept artists, a seriously talented bunch.

My final bit of work closing out my Iron Lore days was creating the Reaver Jetbike for the RTS expansion pack Dawn of War Soulstorm.  I am a huge Warhammer 40,000 fan (I played for years back in my jr. high and highschool days....I still paint some mini's even) so this was a dream project to be a part of albiet briefly.  Modeled and textured using 3DS Max and Photoshop.

My next project was the expansion pack follow up Titan Quest: Immortal Throne.  As on the first Titan Quest I was an Artist creating environment props and level art from trees, rocks and set pieces, to ground and grass textures for the terrain.  Also spent time creating biomes for key levels and modular tile sets for levels.  I also created a few armor sets, one being a fun easter egg "Sleuth" Armor set.  Software used were Iron Lore's proprietary game engine, 3DS Max, and Photoshop mainly.

Well this is where my videogame career begins way back in 2004 at Iron Lore Entertainment.  The first video game I worked on was Titan Quest, a diablo inspired top down action game.  My title on the project was Artist and mainly my focus was on environment prop creation, Rocks, Cliffs, Ships, Trees, Grass, Vegetation etc, and for many of the areas I created a biome sets for the Content Designers to layout the levels.  I created multiple modular sets for various dungeon areas of the game.  Back in these days I was using 3DS Max for modeling, hand painted textures in Photoshop, and also used Iron Lore's proprietary game engine.  I learned a lot about game development and have a lot of fond memories getting my start here.
